General Bizimungu Seraphin a.k.a Gen. Amani Mahoro has parted ways with the insurgents and is now an integral part of the Rwanda Defence Forces.

News of his integration were announced by Mr Sayinzoga Jean, the Reintegration and Demobilisation Commission chief during the official closure of a solidarity camp organised for the former insurgents at Mutobo Solidarity Camp. Mr Sayinzoga said Gen Bizimungu’s integration is a clear testament of the government’s policy to give opportunity for all Rwandans to participate in nation building.

Gen. Bizimungu on his part, thanked the Government of Rwanda for having opened up its arms to him and promised to fulfill all responsibilities bestowed upon him with zeal. Gen Bizimungu brought with him 9 other rebels of junior rank

The ex-rebels went through numerous training including a literacy program and project planning to enable the to be self sustainable. At the end of the training the ex rebels are awarded certificates.

Mr. Sayinzoga Jean took the opportunity to call upon all Rwandans still meandering in the Congo bushes to return home and participate in national building. Gen Bizimungu who has the rank of Brigadier General parted ways with rebels and asked to join the national armed forces.
