National exams results to be released soon

The Primary Leaving and O-level examination results will be released, this week, the Executive Secretary of Rwanda National Examination Council (RNEC), John Rutayisire has announced.

The A-level Examination results will follow at the end of February.

Over14, 000 students, across the country, sat for the Primary and Ordinary level national exams.

According RNEC, 81,470 pupils sat for the Primary Leaving Exams with girls constituting 53.4 percent. The number of candidates increased by 8.2 percent compared to last year.

61,782 students registered for O’ level exams last year, registering an increase of 15.7 percent compared to the previous year.

Students joining S1 and S4 will start three weeks into the first term of school.

Last year also marked the end of sitting of exams in French. All exams will now be done in English.
